The Bay Area based music collective, Seaweed Sway will be putting on their first event of the year at Amnesia Music Hall in the Mission District in San Francisco. This event will be a benefit show for sound engineer and avid music community supporter, Kyle Lesley who was recently diagnosed with stage four metastatic melanoma.

Lesley is known for his volunteer work for causes like Occupy Wall Street SF and the Clarion Alley Mural Project. He inspires everyone who comes into contact with him to connect with and support the local music and arts community.

Mariee Sioux, Future Twin, T.V. Mike and the Scarecrowes and Michael Musika will perform at the benefit show on January 30th. It's great to see bands come together to help their friend while he suffers through a difficult time. Give back to Kyle Lesley because he is a person who has given so much to others.

Future Twin will be supporting The Garden tomorrow night at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, along with Austin, TX based Sweat Lodge.

This is going to be thrilling show. The line up is well curated, and will flow well throughout the night. While Sweat Lodge’s sound is closer to doom and stoner rock, San Francisco based Future Twin embodies a crisp post punk sound, touched with dark and twisted musical undertones. Kymberli's Music Box Presents a stellar line up tonight at San Francisco's Brick and Mortar Music Hall. Influential local bands, Future Twin and Luke Sweeney will share the stage with Portland based dreamgaze rock band, Daydream Machine and Johnny Holleran of the band Without George, who will be opening the show with a solo acoustic set.

Future Twin is a sweet sounding punkabilly, soulful garage rock band that will bring a strong live performance. Janis Joplin-esqe vocals are evenly woven throughout twangy power chord riffs, making for a unique and untraditional punk soul sound. Luke Sweeney's gazey and romance-centric ballads are a post modern reflection of '50s pop love songs. If you like The Black Lips' tamer ballads, you'll enjoy Luke Sweeney. Daydream Machine creates lush walls of sound with their music. Doused with seamless harmonies and a slightly complex shoegaze compositional style that never overwhelms, this band puts on a pristine live show, and George Holleran will open the show with an acoustic set that will set the mood for a night of eclectic music.

San Francisco based alternative punk band, Peace Creep will be celebrating the release of their upcoming self-titled EP (Alternative Tentacles Records) with Buffalo Tooth, Future Twin, comedian George Chen and DJ Jello Biafra at the Elbo Room tonight.

Buffalo Tooth is expected to kick out the jams with their heavy, riff-driven style of music that combines psych, blues, metal and good times. Future Twin, a female-fronted San Francisco based quartet whose sound is based on their stellar surf style riffs and '60s psych rock vibe will be sure to play a great set. Keep an eye out for their debut full length album Wavelength Sovereignty that is expected to be released later this year.

Peace Creep has described their sound as "Neil Young on SST Records wearing a dress playing Dinosaur Jr, Meat Puppets, Breeders, and Husker Du covers," and after giving Peace Creep a further listen, it was found that this description is pretty accurate. With vocals and songwriting that is reminiscent of Husker Du with their subdued hardcore riffs, it's clear that Peace Creep is quite familiar with the '80s SST Records catalog...which is awesome. Make your way out to the show to see to hear all these bands rock.  -Erin Dage.
