New Track: Bye Bye, Big Ocean (The End) - A Sunny Day in Glasgow & Album Announcement

We've been waiting for this announcement to make things official. A Sunny Day in Glasgow will be release a new album entitled Sea When Absent on June 24 via Lefse Records. The announcement comes with an eardrum-splitting new track called "Bye Bye, Big Ocean (The End)." They'll also be performing next in Philly on Sunday, July 27 at Johnny Brenda's with opener Pattern is Movement.

New Music Video: "Nitetime, waving" - A Sunny Day in Glasgow

A Sunny Day in Glasgow just quietly shared a new music video for what appears to be called "Nitetime, waving," which hopefully is a good sign that their next album is almost ready to drop. The group teases us in the track with a bookended lyrical reminder - "such a long time" - amidst its hypnotic haze and ratchety beats. Last we heard a few months ago, they were working on coordinating a label deal and talks of a European tour. We'll let you know when we learn more.

International House Philly’s Spring Arts Preview w/A Sunny Day in Glasgow at Ibrahim Theater Jan. 17

With A Sunny Day in Glasgow’s mastermind Ben Daniels living halfway around the world in Sydney, Australia, their live performances have come few and far between as of late. That is why you should definitely take advantage of their free show tonight at the Ibrahim Theater where they’ll be providing a live soundtrack to science film clips and fragments from Roman Vishniac as part of International House Philadelphia’s Spring Arts Preview. The band will then head back into the studio with Uniform Recording’s Jeff Zeigler to finish up mixing their new album, which hopefully means their drought of shows will be coming to an end soon. Ibrahim Theater - International House Philadelphia, 3701 Chestnut St., 7pm, Free (w/RSVP), All Ages - Q.D. Tran
